Young Kulture

Here’s something exciting to look forward to this weekend: Young Kulture

Young Kulture is a series of live Pop Up concerts with a new age twist aimed at rejuvenating live performances using a full production live band.

In recent years the Nigerian Music industry has witnessed global growth and recognition, but one thing that’s been lacking is local tours put together by local artistes and this void is one X3M Music’s very own D-Truce and fellow rapper/musician; Jamal Swiss are looking to fill with Young Kulture. The duo will be performing music from their “Eden” and “Based On True Events” E.P’s respectively. Their idea is simple; to hold as many concerts in as many locations around the Lagos metropolis and to encourage local tours by artistes in the Nigerian entertainment industry. The first of the series is slated for 7PM on the 28th of January 2017 at Freedom Park.

Both artistes have notable shows to their names, with Jamal Swiss having a mini-concert for his “Based On True Events” E.P at The Village Hut last month, and D-Truce hosting #TheEdenExperience; a live performance of his E.P (which was enlisted by Pulse NG as one of the best Nigerian E.P’s of 2016) at Bogobiri last month. They have decided to join forces and develop a grand concert tour with hopes of creating a fresh experience for music lovers to enjoy, all embodied in the #YoungKulture initiative. The tour will feature performances from 3rty and Cat Mayel as well as guest appearances from X3M Music’s Praiz, Simi and Sammy and a special drama presentation from the Oxygen drama group on the first night of the series. It promises to be an exciting thrill, so make it a date guys! Be sure to turn up at #YoungKulture this Saturday at Freedom Park!
