Sometimes images are created because of a triggered emotion we feel and as a creative , your ability to share your thoughts through images is really one that I find fascinating. Bamidele Babarinde posted this on twitter i was intrigued and wanted to know more on how he felt when creating this images. I already sub consciously interpreted the images as loosing a crown because people want you dead , but Bamidele shares the actual insight on the events that led to the creation of these images and his thoughts on the topic surrounding it . Look through these images and see Bamidele’s thoughts in words and images.

Same sword they knight you they gon’ good night you with
Thats’ only half if they like you
That ain’t even the half what they might do
Don’t believe me, ask Michael

See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome

See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus

What’s this project about?

Fake Friends, I was in a situation where someone used me for what i had.Had a funny feeling about it, then i held back what the person was using for, and the person started acting funny. Lool. I was USED, It hurt the shit out of me and i had to learn the hard way about trusting people . During that period i had two songs i could relate to
Why I Love by Jay, Kanye and Hudson on the Watch The Throne Project and Grammy Family freestyle by JayZ and these songs sparked the idea. Im a big Jay Z fan and there were some lines i could relate to so i created these images to portray my feelings.

Whats your take on Using People?
Its really wrong, Don’t come at people trying to be friends and end up using them. In my case i trusted and sacrifice for this person only to find out you just needed something that i had at that particular time. Its better to come out straight with your intentions from the beginning.

How was translating these thoughts and emotions to images. What was the thought process in creating the visual interpretation?

Honestly, I just closed my eyes and listened to that song “why i love you” over and over and these photographs were what i saw in my head.Creating these photographs was like dropping a load off my back.

Whats your take on Fake Friends?

We definitely dont want any of that.
