Laced with 12 tracks and 3 guest features with 2 pre released singles Mami Water & Lagos On My mind for this emotional roller coaster and the opening song “A Naira to my name” is one of frustration & depression at his lack of funds even taking shots. At the government continuing from his Fuck Kach and Fuck Dino Melaye mode(If you know, you know).
“Feel like the government they are to blame/Feel like the president better vacate the residence before he makes Aso Rock go in flames/ He running the office he said change/ Am looking at my pocket all I see is change /This shit changed”
Paybac’s storytelling mode was on full blast in House 22 which talks about his painful childhood experience where his mom left him at a young age who later came back and his insecurities as a child struggling to find acceptance and also coincided with the loss of his father. On Help Me he is crying out for assistance for someone to help him discover his purpose.
Paybac admits his addictions and insecurities as a human being on Demons with him trying to quit writing sad songs and doing drugs which is a depressingly brilliant song which showcases Paybac as an infallible human being and he continues on the same vein in Bush Bungalow alone with his demons and indulging his addictions also he was assisted by a brilliant hook by 3rty .A song about suicide as the name implies is a song about killing himself after a spiritual leader popularly known as Babalawo predicted his time to die is near and decides to accelerate the process instead but he goes 360 degrees on Akikere which is a song about hope for a brighter future for him and a pledge to himself to be positive.
“Put my heart on the sleeve/Spill my guts and lay it on the table/ See I know I must succeed even if I die the day before I make it/No more sad songs please/ But I sound way better when the piano plays/ But I heard everyone leaves so I do one better and go one way in/Tear myself inside out “
Paybac and Boogey never go wrong at all and Seed of Faith is proof of that .This is their first collaboration post Face-Off and damn how we yearn for more Paybac & Boogey collabo after this.
Well Paybac closes the album with positive vibes on Best Day of my life celebrating his success and the success of his siblings with Bella Alubo on the hook.
After all is said and done The Biggest Tree LP is a tree full of emotions whether suicide, depression, pain, frustration, happiness, faith etc it depends on which you can relate to. Paybac has made an album which speaks to people’s Hearts, carefully crafted and no song sounds like a filler and special shout out to the producers Syn X, 3rty,Black Intelligence,Bobby Combz etc who made sure the production was well layered to suit Paybac.
