August Udoh believes that there is beauty in the face of humans. And he continues to search for that beauty in his works. With this sort of mindset, it is easy for him to find beauty in some of the most mundane things. In Udoh’s stretching portfolio, he has cast different characters such as people in the extractive industry, disabled athletes and others in a fine glow. There is a point of convergence in Udoh’s works: most of them seem to focus on marginalised people and when he shoots them, he portrays them in a very strong posture.

August Udoh’s “Couture” is one of such works where he casts a different perspective on people with. His subject, a female is portrayed as dominant over monochromatic makeovers.

The lighting and elaborate costumes of the model are all top quality and they combine to make compelling photographs.
