Major Lazer’s collaboration with African artists since the release of the highly successful, “Particular” has been prolific. “Particular” which features Ice Prince was a hit all over Africa. Major Lazer has since featured Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Babes Wodumo and a host of others.

On “Tied Up”, the trio featured Mr Eazi and the Kenyan, Raye who is highly-rated across the continent. The video for “Tied Up”, which has the duo of Eazi and Raye going all mushy, was only released yesterday.

The video opens with a motorcyclist screeching, leaving smoke in his wake. Major Lazer continue to reference cultural influences in their videos. Like in the video of “All My Life” where they referenced “Dambe”, this one features mild references to slavery and urban cycling culture.

Major Lazer have described this video as one of the best they have shot. And this is indeed agreeable.

Asides releasing the video, Major Lazer have been rolling out documentaries to accompany each releases. Looking forwards to seeing the documentary for “Tied Up”.
